18-1750

Our next show, 18-1750, spotlights the empowerment and pulsing exuberance of one of nature's most relevant tones. This year, Pantone has chosen a unique shade of magenta, drawing inspiration from the cochineal red, which is known for being one of the most potent and vibrant natural dyes in the world.

Picture the bold mix of reds found in the intricate core of a lily or the barely discernible hues that play tricks on the eyes. Magenta, without its own wavelength, stands out as a luminous and vibrant color that fills the space between each end of a rainbow. It possesses a singular power while also serving as a binding agent for the natural world around us.

For artists seeking to explore the boundaries of 18-1750, it's essential to connect with both the physical and psychological interpretations of this color. Kamagraph invites these artists to explore Viva Magenta! aka 18-1750 on blank skateboard decks. For those collectors that love color, this will be a show to not miss!

The Kamagraph team is bringing this show to Sunday Service Moto Co. in Albuquerque with an opening reception on June 10, 2023 from 5-10pm. The event is free and open to the public.

Location: Sunday Service Motor Co. at 2701 4th St. NW, Albuquerque, NM 87107

PITH Studio X Kamagraph Skate Biophilia

“The complex sounds of running water and the fractals of light through the trees, the smell of a rainstorm and the visual repetition of tree trunks; these things speak to the oldest part of us and they invoke so many health benefits.” - PITH Studio owner, Jeanna Gienke speaks of Biophilic design. In preparation for her collaborative show with the edgy curators at Kamagraph Skateboards, the show reaches into the voice of Biophilia.

Bee's Knees Print Studio Grand Opening!

From Bee’s Knees Print Studio…

“Hey pal!

Bee’s Knees Print Studio is proud to announce our Grand Opening! After five or six years of kicking around in the dirt, freezing to the bone, and commuting to a tiny art studio way outside of town, we’ve finally arrived in our own space!

To commemorate this super exciting time, our pals at Proper Hound were kind enough to whip up this amazing graphic that we’ll be printing live, on-location at our Grand Opening party July 8th, 2022.

If you’ve ever wondered how screen printing works, wanted to see it done in person, and like fresh shirts hot out of the dryer, go ahead and grab an RSVP spot!

The graphic was designed by Proper Hound Press, and features a super sick screen printin’ Reaper, as well as a cool little logo on the back near the nape of the neck.

NOTE: If you want a tee at the Grand Opening, you gotta RSVP before July 1st, 2022. We’re printing these live so we’ll need a little time to get them together. If you don’t order one now to get printed at the event, you won’t have another chance to get one of these sick-as-all-hell tees for quite a long time, maybe ever!

Thank you so much for your support, we wouldn’t have been able to reach this milestone without our amazing clients and friends. Nothing would make me happier than to print you a cool shirt in my new shop on opening day
